I am currently working towards reinterpreting the connections between the Precambrian continental fragments that are now part of Mongolia.

It is related to my interest in developing unique Earth History records in
relation to the formation of the Central Asian orogenic belt. For my PhD
thesis, I primarily focused on the geology and tectonic evolution of
southwestern Mongolia, the Zavkhan terrane, where I employed mapping,
stratigraphic, petrographic, and geochronologic techniques to understand and interpret the Neoproterozoic through early Paleozoic geologic evolution. For my current project, I am extending my research to the north, to characterize the geology of the adjacent Precambrian continental fragment, the Tuva-Mongolia zone. I plan to provide new geochronologic, stratigraphic, and geochemical constraints on tectonic models for crustal growth in Central Asia.
